Select Guidelines on the homepage to browse the list or after running a search in this database, you can select Guidelines from the list of filters on the left side of the screen.

A repository of practice guidelines with some freely available content.

Select Recommendations from the top navigation bar, then choose Published Recommendations. This page outlines their grading scale.

Finding Practice Guidelines in PubMed

After running your search in PubMed, you can apply the Practice Guideline filter to your search results.

There are some Article Types filters on the left side of your PubMed search results screen. Practice Guidelines are not an option by default, so you need to add Practice Guidelines.

1. Select the Additional Filters button.

2. Select the checkbox for Practice Guidelines, the click the Show button.

3. Practice Guidelines now appears as an option under Article Types. Select Practice Guidelines to apply it to your search results.

While browsing the results, you may want to switch the Sort by setting to Most recent (instead of Best match).
