The School of Medicine Library was pleased to host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Portrait Unveiling event in honor of Charles S. Bryan, MD, and Donna H. Bryan on May 10, 2022. Dr. and Mrs. Bryan’s $1 million gift, the latest and largest gift commitment in their 35-year history of giving to the University of South Carolina, will support construction of a new medical education building to include the Charles S. and Donna H. Bryan Health Sciences Library. The Bryans hope their early gift will inspire others to support the new health sciences campus on Bull Street. The portrait was created by Tarleton Blackwell, a nationally-known artist from Manning, South Carolina.
