New Card Readers for 24/7 Access to Library

by Steve Wilson on 2021-09-02T10:55:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

New digital card readers have been installed at all SOM Library entrances, Library study carrel areas, the Gross Anatomy Lab, and the 3rd Floor Group Study Room in Building 3. Now you may simply TAP your ID card against the reader for access to locked areas. (You do not need to remove the card from the plastic pouch.)

NOTE: If you have an “older” ID card, you may need a new one if you plan to access Card Reader areas after hours.  Check on the back to see if you have, in BLUE, the word “iCLASS” in one of the corners. If so, you’re good to go! If not, you will need to email Kathy Flanagan at Kathy.Flanagan@uscmed.sc.edu and provide her with your full name and/or VIP ID. See this FAQ to learn how to look up your VIP ID.  You will be contacted when your new ID is ready for pickup.
