ICARED Rural Primary Care Ultrasound Training

This program will train primary care residency faculty members and rural primary care providers working in South Carolina in the use of point-of-care ultrasonography.  Participants will receive initial training on point-of-care ultrasound use through a combination of CME courses, on-line curricula and on-site training at the participants’ practices.  Follow up experiential training will be completed by the participants through a combination of completing educational scans which will be reviewed electronically and performing follow on scanning sessions which will be directly supervised by faculty either in person or via remote teleconferencing.  Upon successful completion of the training participants will provided with a certificate.
