The NCI-IDD In-Person Survey Project (also known as the "NCI Project") helps South Carolina make services better for adults who have an intellectual or developmental disability. CDR is collaborating with the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) on this project. Our NCI Team has trained interviewers who will meet with selected waiver participants to learn how well the services they receive meet their needs and how the services could be improved. This survey will give them an opportunity to share their opinions, feedback, and personal experiences about the services received from the state.
Here are some things you should know about the NCI project:
- Participating in the survey is voluntary.
- Your choice and answers will not impact the services you receive.
- The interview takes 45 minutes to one hour to complete.
- You can participate in-person or using a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
- The answers you provide will not be shared with the staff who are responsible for your services or are paid to help you. Your answers are kept private and cannot be traced back to you.
- If you need help taking part in the NCI project you can choose someone, such as a family member, friend, or staff to help you. Your Case Manager/Service Coordinator cannot help you because they assist with the services you receive.
If you received an invitation letter and are interested in setting up an interview, please contact CDR’s NCI Team at 803-904-9780.
