M-I Library Orientation Tutorial 2024

Start Here

Welcome!  This tutorial will introduce you to the library and our key databases. Please use a laptop or desktop to complete the tutorial.

There are five modules on the left sidebar. During the modules, you will be prompted to click links, type searches, and answer questions. Work through all content on each page before progressing to the next module. It should take you less than an hour to complete, but you can also take breaks between the modules.

You need to complete the Review Questions module by July 30 at 10 pm.

Introduction

Watch the video below to learn how to access the library web site, how to login to our resources remotely, how to contact us if you have questions, and how to access the M-I Students subject guide. (5 min.)

Note about logging in: After you login, a user session should last 8 hours, so you should only need to authenticate once per day per browser used. Closing your browser will end that session and you will be prompted to login if you reopen the browser.
