If you need an article from a journal not available at the SOM Library, you can request it through our Interlibrary Loan System, ILL Express!
Books and journal articles can be borrowed from participating libraries across the country and delivered to you. This service is available to School of Medicine faculty members, students, staff, and South Carolina health care practitioners, as well as other individuals and organizations in South Carolina who are not affiliated with the University. (Please note that the Library only processes requests for biomedical materials.) This service is free for SOM students, faculty, and staff. For others, there is a charge for this service. For more information, visit the ILL Express! Welcome page.
