E-book readers have become popular over the last two years for accessing digital media. Many e-book readers can be used in conjunction with existing text to audio software. There are also a number of independent e-book reader which have the ability to listen to a story built directly from the e-book software.  See below to access links and documents related to these.

This is a very good website on the accessibility features of Microsoft Office 2010 programs. Featured on this website are a number of video tutorials, accessible fact sheets. Some of the videos include how to use voice recognition and Zoom text features.

 

Macintosh computer, iTouch, Tablet accessibility

This is a web link to the Macintosh accessibility resources. This link you will be able to find information on accessible features for Macintosh computers or for iTouch/Apple tablets. At the top of the screen is a link to third-party vendors or resources. The Apple resources link has a plethora of information on accessibility issues including problem-solving discussion groups.
