The School of Medicine Library offers seventy Subject Guides, which are curated collections of resources tailored towards departments, programs, or topics areas. These guides typically include key databases, e-books, e-journals, patient education information, and links to other high-quality information resources. Browse or search the full list of Subject Guides at: https://uscmed.sc.libguides.com/subjectguides.
This month, we’re spotlighting two guides that support current curricular priorities at the School of Medicine:
Active Learning – This guide includes overviews and examples of active learning methods, custom search links to MedEdPortal curricula, and a ready-to-use PubMed search strategy for finding recent articles.
Health Disparities and Related Resources for Curriculum Development: Explore curriculum examples covering health disparities, health equity, and the social determinants of health. In addition to relevant journals, there is a search strategy to copy and paste into PubMed to get you started on a search for relevant articles. The Books tab includes e-books and highlights two special print collections available in the library, the Compassionate Clinicians Collection and the Medical Humanities Collection.
If you have suggestions for new Subject Guides or suggestions for improving existing ones, please let us know.
