ILL Express! is the Interlibrary Loan ordering system for the USC School of Medicine Library. Available to School of Medicine faculty, students, and staff, this service is for the provision of BIOMEDICAL materials for research and study purposes (please contact your public library for non-biomedical materials).  ILL requests submitted by SOM faculty, staff, or students are free unless the request is a rush request (needed within 2 business days) or a book loan request; in these cases, a $5.00 fee will be charged to your account.

REGISTRATION: The first time you use the system, you will be directed to complete a registration form. To ensure the best possible service, please fill in all applicable fields on the registration form. You must fill in fields marked "required" or the system will not allow you to register.

Please note that there is a LIMIT OF 10 ACTIVE ARTICLE REQUESTS at any given time for SOM faculty, staff and students.  The system will provide an alert once the limit has been reached.  Additional requests may be made once active requests have been filled. If you have a critical RUSH request and you have already reached the 10-request limit, contact the Interlibrary Loan staff at 803-216-3200 or ill@uscmed.sc.edu.

USC-Columbia faculty, staff and students who are not affiliated with the School of Medicine should use Thomas Cooper Library's ILL Department; persons affiliated with the School of Law should request ILL items through the Coleman Karesh Law Library.

NOTE: Prisma Health residents/fellows will request articles via the Prisma Health Health Sciences Library. Please contact library@prismahealth.org or 864-455-7176 for support.
