After creating an account in Web of Science, you can save searches, set up Search History Alerts, and create Citation Alerts.
Register for a free account at the Web of Science homepage. Click “Register.”
To set up a search alert:
- Sign in.
- Run your search.
- Click "Create alert" link on right side of page.
- Enter a name for the alert and click "Create."
To create a citation alert:
- Sign in.
- Run your search.
- Click on the title of the article to view the full record.
- Click the "Create citation alert" link on the right side of the screen.
- Click "Create."
- You will automatically receive an e-mail alert every time the article is cited.
