Exporting citations from Embase

Exporting citations from Embase

  1. Run your search in Embase
  2. Select the box next to the citations that you want to add to EndNote. (If you want to export all of the results, select the box next to Results and use the drop-down menu to choose to select all of your search results.)  
  3. Select Export.
  4. The Export Data pop-up window appears. Choose the RIS (for Mendeley, Endnote) format.
  5. Click Export.
  6. A new window or tab in your browser will open showing the progress on your export. Once finished, click Download.
  7. A .ris file will be downloaded to your computer. Check that the file is saved somewhere easily accessible such as your desktop. 

Importing citations from Embase

Importing the Embase file into EndNote Online

  1. Login to your EndNote Online account.
  2. Select Collect and then choose Import References.
  3. Choose the .ris file that you just saved from Embase.
  4. For the import option, scroll to "R" and select RefMan RIS.
  5. Select the group (folder) you want to add the references to and click Import.
